Honestly, the gradient on this one was a real challenge

Most people's first reaction to this clock is that it looks like a sunset. To be fair, finding the right amber-to-deep-blue yarn to get that "dusk" feeling took me quite a while.

This isn't something a machine can just print out.

Working with gradient yarn on a flat circle is tricky. If your tension is off, the colors clash or shift at the wrong spot. I had to frog (unravel) two prototypes just to make sure the amber blended into the blue without looking messy.

Take a look at those scalloped edges in the photo. That’s my favorite part. It adds a bit of a vintage, cozy vibe that you just don't get with cold plastic clocks. There's a weight and a "softness" to the yarn that makes the whole room feel calmer.
